Re: procedure to upgrade

Hi fchuw07, The upgrade procedure is described in the release notes m, also available during the installation. It should be easy to upgrade, just run the latest installer and install the new version of the server, client and templates and recompile your Thin@ apps with the new template. Let me know ...

Re: GEN: Unknown Variable '%NoThisObj'

Hi Nev,

Try to compile another application and see if you're getting errors.
If you do, try to reinstall Thin@ and if you don't then it must be something specific to your app.

Let me know if you need help with it an we can arrange a Teamviewer session.

Daniel

Re: Topspeed or Firebird backend

Hi Nev,

That is the database drivers' job.
If you move to Firebird that will not impact Thin@.
There is no any advantages to stick with TPS.
I suggest that you move to any DB that suits you best.

Daniel

Re: weblink

Yes, you can use the ShellExecute API wrapper function to avoid using start.exe

Let me know if this helps.

Re: Exception code: Access Violation (after v. 2.1 update)

Hello,

We did not change anything related to opening the window.

Please upload an example application which worked with the previous version of Thin@ and does not work anymore so we can test.

Regards,
Daniel

Re: Exception code: Access Violation (after v. 2.1 update)

Hi,

Did you use the latest versions of client and server?
This seems like Thin@ Server-Client version incompatibility.

Please check. If you still have issues, please attach the copy of the application and we'll test.

Re: Clarion dot net applications

Hi Djole,

One of our development paths is to enable wrapping up frequently used .NET components through ActiveX.
Eventually we do plan to extend the server-side sources and .NET is one of the possible candidates.

Re: printing report from java client

>I know is in beta, but for a very simple project... do you have some way to create a simple report? or create a PDF and send to the client. You can create a normal Clarion report and use it in the Java client. The WMF file will be automatically converted to SVG and previewed in a Java SVG previewer...

Re: Thin Client in a single .exe file

Hi, Yes, the NetClient.app can be compiled as a single exe that will have the Clarion runtime, icons etc. all embedded. However, there are a few files you'll need to ship along with this exe, specifically RisNet.dll - Thin@ socket library compiled in C, 7z.exe used for file compression and in some c...

Re: Version 2.1

Hi alandewet,

I apologize for a late reply.

We've postponed the release date of Thin@ 2.1 due to bugs that have been found and the time needed to fix them.
The new version will be released next week, probably next Wednesday.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
